Eventually, I realized I had wandered into a “far country” of exhaustion and isolation. I didn’t mean to go that far, and I certainly didn’t mean to stay that long.Luke 15:11–32 tells a similar story. The prodigal son didn’t set out to lose himself; he simply wanted to explore life on his own terms. But distance from the Father always leads to emptiness. Instead of rejection, he received restoration. It is active, pursuing, and deeply personal. The Father didn’t stand on the porch with crossed arms; He ran toward His son with open arms. It means acknowledging when we’ve stayed too long in places that drain our spirit. Returning to God begins with honesty—naming where we are and choosing to move toward Him again. It may look like prayer, confession, seeking community, or simply pausing long enough to listen for His voice.As you reflect this week, remember that coming home is not a journey of shame but a journey of grace. Healing Begins With a Reach

Community has a way of reminding us that God never intended for us to carry life alone.Acts 2:42–47 paints a vivid picture of a community shaped by devotion to God, to one another, and to Christ's mission. These believers prayed together, learned together, shared meals, and supported each other in practical ways. Their unity wasn’t forced; it flowed naturally from hearts transformed by the Holy Spirit. And because they walked together, Scripture says they experienced awe, generosity, joy, and spiritual growth.&nbsp; “When we walk together, God multiplies what we could never carry alone.” &nbsp;This passage teaches us that community is not optional for the believer—it is essential. God uses people to strengthen us, sharpen us, and encourage us. He places us in fellowship so we can experience His love through the hands and hearts of others. When we isolate ourselves, we miss out on the very relationships God intends to use to bless and mature us.So how do we live this out today? First, we choose to be present—showing up consistently in worship, prayer, and fellowship. Second, we open our hearts—allowing others to know us, support us, and walk with us. Third, we serve—using our gifts to build up the body of Christ. And finally, we share—our time, our resources, and our encouragement, just as the early church did.As you move through this week, remember that God has placed people around you on purpose. You are not meant to walk alone. There is strength in shared faith, healing in shared burdens, and joy in shared life. May you find comfort, courage, and renewed hope as you walk together with God’s people.

Stronger When We Stand Together

He is expanding His reach, drawing in those who feel unseen, uncertain, or unworthy. The same Spirit that fell in Acts 2 is still moving across generations, neighborhoods, and stories. Wherever you are, God has already made room for you.So how do we step into this movement? First, we open our hearts to the possibility that God wants to work in us. Second, we release the belief that we must earn our place. And third, we look for ways to welcome others into the grace we’ve received. God’s movement grows when His people make space for one another.As you move through this week, remember you are not on the outside looking in. God has already prepared a place for you in His unfolding work. Walk into it with confidence, knowing His Spirit is with you and His invitation is wide enough to include your whole story.

When God Makes Room for Everyone

Maybe it’s a diagnosis, a financial strain, a family situation, or a quiet fear you haven’t spoken aloud. We’ve all had seasons where we whisper, “Lord, I don’t even know what to pray.” And yet, Scripture shows us that this kind of honesty is not weakness—it’s the doorway to divine strength.In 2 Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat found himself surrounded by an enemy too large to defeat. Instead of pretending he had a plan, he prayed a simple, vulnerable prayer: “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.” That single sentence captures the heart of what it means to pray the right prayer. It’s not about eloquence; it’s about direction. It’s about turning our gaze from the problem to the God who reigns over it.God’s response was immediate and reassuring: “Do not be afraid or discouraged… for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” The people still had to show up, but they didn’t have to fight. Their posture of surrender positioned them to witness God’s power in a way they never could have orchestrated on their own.When we face our own battles, we can follow the same pattern. First, acknowledge your limits. God is not intimidated by your uncertainty. Second, lift your eyes. Shift your focus from the size of the problem to the greatness of your God. Third, stand firm. Trust that God is working even when you cannot see the outcome.This week, let your prayer be simple and sincere. God is not looking for perfect words—He’s looking for a surrendered heart. And as you place your eyes on Him, may you find peace, clarity, and the assurance that He is fighting for you.
