A Well That Never Runs Dry
There are seasons when life feels like one long walk under a hot sun—where responsibilities pile up, emotions run thin, and the soul quietly whispers, “I’m tired.” In Scripture, we meet a woman who knew that feeling well. She came to the well at a time when no one else would be there, carrying more than just an empty water jar. She carried the weight of her story, her mistakes, and her unspoken longing for something more.
What she didn’t expect was to meet Jesus there. He didn’t wait for her to fix her life or clean up her past. He met her in the middle of her routine, in the middle of her questions, and offered her something she didn’t even know she needed—living water. Not the kind that fills a jar, but the kind that fills a heart.
This living water is the same gift Jesus offers us today. It reaches into the places we try to hide, the places we’ve learned to live with, and the places we’ve stopped believing can change. His renewal doesn’t come through striving or pretending. It comes through receiving—receiving His presence, His truth, and His gentle invitation to be made whole.
When we allow His living water to flow into our lives, something shifts. Weariness gives way to strength. Shame gives way to grace. Emptiness gives way to purpose. And like the woman at the well, we discover that what Jesus gives doesn’t just fill us—it overflows into every part of our story.
May you be reminded this week that you don’t have to stay thirsty. Jesus meets you where you are, offering a well that never runs dry.
